AWARD OF EXCELLENCE – PUBLIC & INSTITUTIONAL –
BMO THEATRE CENTRE
Proscenium Interiors is honoured to have won the Award of Excellence for BMO Theatre. Congratulations Kerri!
Lead Designer: Kerri Shinkewski, RID
Proscenium Architecture + Interiors Inc.
Photography: Andrew Latreille
The interior design concept for the BMO Theatre Centre used material and pattern to weld spaces of disparate programme into a cohesive theatrical experience, creating a unified spatial experience for reflection and play while complementing an assertive base building. The design depends on overlapping planes of complementary materials, ornamented with a punched pattern that appears in a variety of orientations, scales and field substrates: deftly addressing a variety of technical requirements and affective environments.
