Peter Carter joined Proscenium in 2017 with more than 13 years of architectural experience. He has worked on a wide range of projects in BC and Ontario, from office towers to sports/entertainment facilities to institutional work. He holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of Toronto as well as a degree in fine arts with a minor in physics from UBC—showing the balance of creativity and practicality that informs his work.
A characteristic of architecture that has been true, and intriguing, in many of Peter’s projects is that often the most difficult constraints produce the most interesting results. This is an aspect of his practice that Peter has greatly enjoyed, and some of his best work can be found on projects with the most obstacles to overcome.
Currently Peter is active as the project architect on a 4-storey industrial and office building in Mount Pleasant under construction, and a 3-building mixed use development in Victoria.
