475 West Georgia

The renovation of the ground floor and plaza of 475 West Georgia is another major office renovation project undertaken with Austeville Properties Ltd. Standing kitty-corner to the Vancouver Library and Telus Gardens in Vancouver’s downtown core, the existing concrete-clad BC Turf Building designed by Zoltan Kiss in the 1970’s – is contrasted and complemented by the steel, aluminum, and glass of the renovation. The plaza along both Georgia and Richards Streets has been redesigned as an open field of porcelain tile sheltered by new canopies and backdrop to a bronze sculpture by Joe Fafard. The improved plaza carries into the expanded main entrance lobby which has been redesigned to be lighter and brighter.
